China has officially further relaxed its family planning policy, supporting couples that wish to have a third child, it was decided at a meeting of the Political Bureau of Communist Party of China Central Committee held on Monday.
中共中央政治局5月31日召开会议，听取“十四五”时期积极应对人口老龄化重大政策举措汇报，审议《关于优化生育政策促进人口长期均衡发展的决定》，提出进一步优化生育政策，实施一对夫妻可以生育三个子女政策及配套支持措施。
The Health Commission of Guangdong Province reported this morning that 10 newly confirmed local Covid-19 cases and two new local asymptomatic cases were recorded in Guangzhou yesterday. Starting from 10 pm yesterday, only people who hold a negative nucleic acid test result within 72 hours can leave Guangzhou. Guangzhou has implemented lockdown in some key areas and nucleic acid test throughout the city is proceeding.
广东省卫健委今早通报，昨日广州新增本地确诊病例10例，新增本地无症状病例2例。从昨晚10点开始，离穗人员需持72小时内核酸检测阴性结果。广州已对部分重点地区执行封闭管理，全市核酸检测正有序进行。
China's central bank announced Monday that to improve forex liquidity management in financial institutions, it will raise the reserve requirement ratio for foreign currency deposits from the current 5 percent to 7 percent, beginning June 15. This is expected to curb sell-offs of foreign currencies after the renminbi's value climbed to a record high. The central parity of renminbi against the US dollar was 6.36 on Monday, which is the strongest level since May 2018.
中国人民银行5月31日发布公告称，为加强金融机构外汇流动性管理，决定自6月15日起上调金融机构外汇存款准备金率2个百分点，即由现行的5%提高到7%。在人民币升至历史新高后，这有望抑制外币的抛售。周一人民币兑美元中间价为6.3682，为2018年5月以来的最高水平。

The World Bank Group has found opportunities to further strengthen partnership with China in climate change and green development agenda, in line with the nation's carbon neutrality target by 2060, according to a senior official from the bank.

China's state-owned enterprises (SOEs) saw more social capital investments in 2020 as the country steps up mixed-ownership reform to improve SOE efficiency. The country's SOEs received a total of 197.1 billion yuan (about 31 billion U.S. dollars) of social capital through equity transfers in 2020, an increase of 13.4 percent from 2019, according to data by the Chinese State-owned Property Exchanges Association.

China's market regulator has imposed fines totaling 36.5 million yuan (roughly 5.7 million U.S. dollars) to 15 off-campus tutoring companies over false advertising and fraud. The 15 firms include online education apps Zuoyebang, Yuanfudao, and New Oriental Education & Technology Group.国家市场监督管理总局在5月初对“作业帮”“猿辅导”两家机构开展检查的基础上，对新东方、学而思、精锐教育、掌门1对1、华尔街英语、哒哒英语等13家校外培训机构进行重点检查。检查发现，15家校外培训机构均存在虚假宣传违法行为，13家校外培训机构存在价格欺诈违法行为。市场监管部门对15家校外培训机构分别予以顶格罚款，共计3650万元。

China has officially kicked off its long-awaited public REITs, or Real Estate Investment Trusts, market. Nine REITs are now publicly being offered on the country's Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges. This is China's first batch of REITs which allow retail investors to participate in the real estate market.
周一，备受市场关注的首批9只公募REITs（房地产投资信托基金）产品今日在沪深股市开售，基础设施公募REITs可让投资者用较少的资金参与到大型基建项目，从而分享项目的基础收益和资产升值。
