China successfully launched the crewed spacecraft Shenzhou-12 with three astronauts on board. The trio is expected to stay in space for three months as part of the country's space station mission. The spacecraft, atop a Long March-2F carrier rocket, was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).

北京时间2021年6月17日9时22分，搭载神舟十二号载人飞船的长征二号F遥十二运载火箭，在酒泉卫星发射中心点火发射。此后，神舟十二号载人飞船与火箭成功分离，进入预定轨道，顺利将聂海胜、刘伯明、汤洪波3名航天员送入太空，飞行乘组状态良好，发射取得圆满成功。

China's economy continued to recover in May with retailing sales showing a boost by the public holiday with 12.4 percent year-on-year growth,  according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Wednesday. Industrial output was up 8.8 percent from a year earlier, led by sectors like new energy vehicles and industrial robots. 

国家统计局16日发布的数据显示，5月份，国民经济持续恢复，继续呈现稳中加固、稳中向好态势。5月份，全国规模以上工业增加值同比增长8.8%，两年平均增长6.6%；社会消费品零售总额35945亿元，同比增长12.4%，两年平均增长4.5%；货物进出口总额31361亿元，同比增长26.9%；全国城镇调查失业率为5.0%，比4月份下降0.1个百分点。

Updates on COVID-19. 

疫情简报：

The Chinese Mainland on Wednesday reported 4 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in Guangdong Province. All were in Guangzhou. 15 imported cases were also reported. 

国家卫健委数据显示，6月16日0—24时，全国报告新增确诊病例19例，其中境外输入病例15例，本土病例4例(均在广东)。

Guangzhou has re-opened online reservation channels for the second dose of COVID vaccine yesterday. 600,000 CHO cell vaccines have arrived in Guangzhou, which require three doses.

昨天，广州市卫生健康委发布新版新冠疫苗接种预约操作指引。现阶段，广州已开通了第二剂到期接种人群的线上预约通道。同时，60万支重组新型冠状病毒疫苗（CHO细胞）到达广州，全程共接种3剂次。

According to the Ministry of Transport, China's rural road network now extends 4.35 million kilometers, accounting for about 84 percent of the total road network. From 2016 to 2020, China built or rebuilt more than 1.4 million km of rural roads. By 2035, the length of the rural road network will exceed 5 million km.

据交通运输部统计，目前中国农村公路总里程达435万公里，约占公路网总里程的84%。 2016年至2020年，中国新建或改建农村公路超过140万公里。根据该部3月3日发布的发展蓝图，到2035年，农村公路总长度将超过500万公里。

产经消息：

China will further release its state reserves of copper, aluminum and zinc to ensure stable prices of commodities and ease cost pressure on firms, the National Development and Reform Commission said Thursday. The release will be open to non-ferrous metal processing and manufacturing enterprises, and small and medium-sized enterprises will be favored in participating in the bidding.

国家发改委17日表示，即将投放铜铝锌的国家储备，此次投放面向中下游企业，实行公开竞价，今后一段时间将会同市场有关部门，视市场变化，适时开展多批次投放，及时增加市场供应，促进价格回归正常区间。

China continued to see a generally stable housing market in May, with home prices in 70 major cities showing slight month-on-month increases, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Thursday. New home prices in Chongqing city were up 1.9% month on month, the biggest growth in major cities.

国家统计局今日公布5月份70个大中城市商品住宅销售价格变动情况。数据显示，5月份70大中城市中有62城新建商品住宅价格环比上涨。环比看，重庆以1.9%的涨幅领跑，北京、上海、广州、深圳分别涨0.3%、涨0.4%、涨1.5%、涨0.6%。

China's fiscal revenue jumped 24.2 percent year on year in the first five months of 2021, reaching nearly 9.65 trillion yuan (about 1.5 trillion U.S. dollars), data released by the Ministry of Finance showed Thursday.

中国财政部17日公布，1-5月全国一般公共预算收入96454亿元(人民币，下同)，同比增长24.2%，比2019年同期增长7.3%。

Office developer Soho China on Wednesday said it received a takeover offer from private equity giant Blackstone Group for HK$23.66 billion ($3.05 billion). The company said its listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange would be maintained after the offer is closed, and its existing shareholders will retain 9 percent of the equity.

6月16日晚间，美国投资管理公司黑石集团（Blackstone，或称“百仕通”）公布，向SOHO中国发起全面要约收购，而SOHO中国则公布交易作价为236.6亿港元。不过，在交易完成后，SOHO中国可以保持现有主营业务和管理团队，现股东潘石屹和张欣夫妇将保留9%的股份，并继续保持在香港的上市地位。

Wanda Light Asset Commercial Management Co has started preparations with banks for a Hong Kong initial public offering, according to anonymous sources.

6月16日消息，据知情人士透露，大连万达集团的商业地产管理子公司已开始筹备香港首次公开募股事宜。

Chinese stocks finished higher Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.21 percent, at 3525 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.23 percent higher at 14472 points. Shares related to Huawei’s HarmonyOS and semi-conductors continued to go strong, together with baijiu, shipping and telecom equipment. 

周四股市低开后震荡上行，沪指报3525.6点，涨幅0.21%；深成指报14472.37点，涨1.23%。盘面上，第三代半导体概念股掀涨停潮，白酒、鸿蒙概念、港口航运、通信设备、化学制品等板块涨幅居前；大豆、玉米、转基因、采掘服务、猪肉、石油矿业开采等板块跌幅居前。
