Singapore’s bustling Changi Airport is one of Southeast Asia's largest international air hubs, attracting more than one million Chinese tourists every year before the pandemic.

Air passengers between Singapore and China have surpassed 500,000 in August for the first time since the pandemic. There were 510,000 people traveling between the two countries, seven times the number seen in January. Chinese tourists are now the 3rd largest group of visitors to arrive at the Changi Airport.

In August this year, the number of scheduled flights between China and Singapore has reached about 2,600, recovering to 76% of the pre-pandemic level.

Singapore's tourist industry has been greatly boosted by tourist  inflows. It also provides an opportunity for Singaporeans to visit China, bringing the two countries closer through communication.
