HongKi Lee, Chair of the International Electrotechnical Commission's Fuel Cell Technology Committee (IEC/TC 105), discussed China's advantages in hydrogen energy cooperation at the Zhongguancun Forum 2024. Lee highlighted China's top ranking in hydrogen production, supported by extensive infrastructure and significant government funding for advanced technologies. He believes these factors position China to lead the global hydrogen and fuel cell economy.
Regarding the future of new energy vehicles, including hydrogen-powered vehicles, Lee anticipates a substantial shift by 2040 towards electric and fuel cell vehicles replacing traditional fuel and diesel vehicles.
