Guangming Life Science Park located in Shenzhen, focuses on synthetic biology, brain science and other key fields, which is to build core technology platforms for genes, macromolecules and cells. It is about to create a scientific and economic ecosystem featuring innovation incubation and achievement transformation, to accomplish the "last mile" between innovation and industrialization.

“When we built this facility, the goal was for global openness. Not only to be used in China, we hope that many scientists around the world can also utilize this facility.” Yuan Hai, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology indicated the openess of the institute in the interview. It is expected that by 2050, Guangming Life Science Park will be fully built into a globally influential science center.
