"I believe there are two distinct trends coexisting." Zhang Yansheng, the Researcher at the Chinese Academy of Macroeconomic Research conducted an interview with SFC journalist.

He considered the first growing trend is regionalization, especially with the continuous enhancement of economic integration between China and ASEAN. "It is foreseeable that as integration between China and ASEAN continues to deepen."

The second trend he proposed is China will continue to champion globalization, and promote all-round opening-up. "China’s trade relations with the EU, BRICS countries, as well as Japan and South Korea, still hold a very important position."
