China's 15th National Games: 5G-A Empowers Venue Safety

On August 2, China held an event to mark the 100-day countdown to the opening of China's 15th National Games in South China's Shenzhen. Zhou Guoqiang, Deputy General Manager of the Cloud Network Development Department at China Telecom's Guangdong Branch, stated in an interview that Guangdong Telecom, at the main venues of China’s 15th National Games in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities, deploys a 5G-Advanced plus Beidou-enabled high-precision positioning system that integrates communication, sensing, intelligence and computing to establish a comprehensive low-altitude management framework. The infrastructure includes 5G-A base stations with integrated communication, sensing, intelligence and computing capabilities, Remote ID equipment and Tianshu terminals. These intelligent terminals can sense and identify low-altitude aircraft while delivering high-precision positioning, ensuring that every venue is fully manageable, controllable and secure.
