Thai Business Delegation Seeks New Opportunities at China-Northeast Asia Expo

On August 27, the 15th China-Northeast Asia Expo opened in Changchun, Jilin Province. Themed "Joining Hands with Northeast Asia, Opening Up to Win the Future," this year's expo has attracted over 10,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions.

The China-Northeast Asia Expo is the only international comprehensive expo in the world participated by the six Northeast Asian countries. Since its inception, the China-Northeast Asia Expo has played a significant role in promoting high-level dialogue among Northeast Asian countries, conducting global trade in goods, services, and investment, and fostering economic, trade, and cultural exchanges among these countries.

At the expo, Li Guixiong, Vice Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce stated that dozens of Thai companies were participating in the expo, covering a range of categories including rubber products, food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. "The China-Northeast Asia Expo is not only a national-level exhibition, but also an important link for China's investment and trade with countries around the world, and an important platform for regional cooperation," he said.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. Many cooperation projects between China and Thailand have been achieved through exhibitions, exchanges and business forums on provincial and municipal levels. Li believes that this visit is another opportunity for bilateral cooperation.
