Actor Liu Ye: I witness Changchun Film Studio's growing influence

The 19th Changchun Film Festival, which closed on Thursday in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, celebrated the grand occasion with the Golden Deer Awards.
Under the theme "New Era, New Cradle, New Forces, New Journey," the 33-year-old China Changchun Film Festival features six key segments: opening and closing ceremonies, film awards, film screening, film exchanges, tributes to the "Cradle", and industry integration, offering a comprehensive showcase of the innovation and heritage of Chinese cinema.
During an interview the SFC, Chinese actor Liu Ye said this year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of Changchun Film Studio and the 120th anniversary of the birth of Chinese cinema, which is of great significance. Being born and raised at the Changchun Film Studio, Liu bears witness of its development over the past decades, which has become increasingly prominent in the country's movie industry.
Changchun Film Festival was first held in 1992. It is China's first film festival which is named after Changchun, titled "the cradle of modern China's film industry." As one of the important birthplaces of Chinese cinema, Changchun Film Studio has laid a solid foundation for the development of China's film industry after 1949.
