"Go global, or go home." Tapping into overseas markets has become a common goal for Chinese automakers. In recent years, China's auto industry has accelerated its international expansion. According to the latest data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), China exported 3.083 million vehicles in the first half of this year, up 10.4% year-on-year, demonstrating continued momentum in the industry.
On August 29, SFC reporter visited the NBD headquarters of China FAW Group and saw a variety of cutting-edge technologies, from supercars and autonomous vehicles, to flying cars, covering a wide range of application scenarios. The new Hongqi models adopt advanced automotive technologies as well as eco-friendly and energy-saving processes and new materials, highlighting the company's achievements under its digital and intelligent transformation strategy.
Wang Lingyu, Deputy General Manager of China FAW Import and Export Co., Ltd. (Hongqi's overseas marketing division) told media that amid fierce competition in the auto industry, FAW adheres to the principle of value competition over price war. Looking ahead, FAW will continue to deepen operations in Southeast Asia and other overseas markets. Wang stated that in countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand, China FAW plans to launch localized industrial projects to further root itself in local communities, provide tailored services, and offer better products and experiences to local consumers.
