As a highlight event of the 24th China Shanghai International Arts Festival, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Cultural Week opened on October 18. As the Cultural Week's centerpiece, the Reform Mission: Guangdong Art Centennial Exhibition opened at the Shanghai Art Museum, featuring around 800 works by over 350 artists from the GBA.

Wang Yong, the Former Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Guangdong Artists Association, and Honorary Vice President of Chinese Painting Institute of Guangdong Province stated that the theme "Reform Mission" perfectly and accurately summarizes Guangdong's development journey over the past century. In his view, the key reason for Guangdong's remarkable achievements in fine arts over a century lies in its spirit of innovation — it has stood at the forefront of the times in every era, constantly bringing refreshing works and new perspectives.
