“Guangzhou is the most promising region for China-Cambodia agricultural trade, especially Nansha District, which boasts strong port advantages.”H.E. Tin Htut, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar told SFC.
Currently, Cambodia is striving to achieve diversified operation of agricultural products. Meanwhile, China and Myanmar are advancing multiple projects, such as the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation. At the 2025 International Conference on Agricultural Service Trade, Tin said that China and Myanmar have carried out agricultural cooperation at the university level, which is highly beneficial to both sides and fully demonstrates the sound momentum of agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Tin also stated that the information gap in the agricultural market remains huge, and establishing a digital system to enable farmers in remote areas to access more accurate agricultural data is needed.
About 200 domestic and foreign guests gathered at the 2025 International Conference on Agricultural Service Trade held on Tueday in Nansha, Guangzhou, to discussed the future trends and cooperation opportunities in global agricultural service trade.
