Turing Award Laureate John Hopcroft: Scientific Research Requires Talents Filled with Curiosity

The Greater Bay Area Science Forum 2025 took place from December 6 to 8 across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, bringing together leading scientists, industry heads, and policymakers for three days of high-level discussions on frontier technologies and emerging industries.
During the forum, Turing Award laureate John Hopcroft, a professor at Cornell University and a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, shared his insights on talent cultivation in an interview with an SFC reporter. He pointed out that scientific research requires individuals filled with curiosity.
