“I met with several Guangdong-based entrepreneurs yesterday and believe that China and Malaysia boast enormous cooperation potential in the semiconductor sector and its related fields,” said Harris Bin Alwi, the Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, in an interview with 21st Century Business Herald on Monday morning.
Harris Bin Alwi, who was invited to observe the opening meeting of the fifth Session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress held on January 26, shared his perspectives on Guangdong's economy and expectations for bilateral cooperation.
He noted that this marks his first attendance at Guangdong's two sessions, a milestone that fills him with great enthusiasm. He eagerly looks forward to listening to the 2026 Guangdong Government Work Report, hoping to identify more opportunities for future cooperation between Guangdong and Malaysia through it.
