On April 22, 16 journalists from various member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) visited Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
In 2025, the total import and export cargo volume via the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge exceeded 300 billion yuan for the first time. Fresh imports entering through the bridge port originate from Canada, New Zealand and numerous Southeast Asian countries, with fresh product categories expanding to more than 20 types.
Before visiting the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Disthan Kornkit as the journalist of The Better (Thailand) had already toured the inspection site of the Air-Land Fresh Lane.
He found that goods from different countries move in and out quickly through the bridge. “I learned that it helps facilitate customs clearance for goods from APEC economies, including those from Thailand. Thai fruit reach Hong Kong and Macao and then flow more easily into the Chinese mainland.”
