At the 2023 Understanding China Conference in Guangzhou, Neil Bush, Chair of the George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations, expressed his concerns on the currently challenged bilateral relations. When answering the question from SFC reporter, Bush complained about the U.S. political system rewarding politicians to speak harshly on China. Bush told our reporter, more people need to see the real China and people exchanges is important to really understand China.
