Vivian Zhang, Managing Director and General Manager of Merck China Healthcare, told SFC reporter that Merck has always seen China as one of the most important strategic markets and sustainable growth engines. Speaking about the progress of China’s reform and opening up, Zhang said the R&D capacity in China has grown rapidly, shifting the country from a major sales market to a major production base. Zhang stressed that China is indispensable for Merck’s future growth and sustainable development.
